Dear Cozy.

Dear Cozy,

If life gives you lemons, ask for salt and vinegar.

We all seek escape from people at one point or the other. We need to be in our own space, away from the crowd, away from the hustle and bustle. if we could have a mountaintop to ourselves in those moments, it would mean the world to us.

But, it’s usually not that easy. Village people and world people would not even let you have the mountaintop. If you somehow get it, they’d follow you there. Bad people.

That is where music comes in.

You get away with music, so far away, you get lost sometimes.

Don’t be deceived that only slow songs can give you that. It’s about the sounds, the wordings, the flow.

Cozy, do yourself a favour, get your “get-lost” playlist; those songs that take you and keep you safe. I’d talk with your father about getting you proper headphones.

Love, Mum.

Dear Cozy,

If life gives you lemons, ask for salt and vinegar.

I told you sex is beautiful, right? I also told you it’s best saved for that special person, right?

You aren’t getting married anytime soon but those hormones will soon come ragind and if care is not taken, you would be bringing home a teenage girl as a wife.

Channeling the homornes out is a major hurdle. Masturbation always comes up and with it, pornography follows.

They are replicas of the real deal and not good ones anyway. In masturbating, you are a solo actor, a one man show, acting to please just yourself. It’s fun and a temporary relief but you need to outgrow it. Real sex can never be reduced to… Just that.

As for porn, it is all fake. Gone is the shyness and persistent innocence of a truly legal couple copulating. Porn actors and actresses stare into the camera, daring you to join their scene. Nah, that is not how it works.

It is better not to get into them at all. Getting out can be a pain.

Love, Mum.

PS: I missed out posting yesterday’s Dear Cozy that’s why there’s two today.

Just a Little More…

1. Music is life. Life is music. I’m not sure there’s anyone who doesn’t find something in music; a channel, some comfort and solace, inspiration, encouragement, etc. There’s always something to gain from it. Especially if it’s the one for you. Being able to plug into music and block out the ‘universe’ is bliss!

2. Some things just have to eventually be outgrown. In this case, porn and masturbation. They shouldn’t become the basis of our expectation of sex because, we would be disappointed and so would our partner(wife/husband).
