Dear Cozy.

Dear Cozy,

If life gives you lemons, ask for salt and vinegar.

Your health is important. Health is wealth and life and health. What I mean is, don’t joke with your health. When health is missing, every other thing seems to find somewhere else to go too.

Rest. Sleep. Eat. Drink fluids. Everything in moderation. Listen to your body. Don’t assume and don’t pretend. If you feel strange don’t keep it to yourself. Get regular check ups with your doctor.

When I take care of sick people, I try to imagine how they were while healthy. The difference is usually sobering. Be your own doctor first but don’t go pumping in drugs just because someone said it worked for them.

Before you use drugs, check to ensure you haven’t deprived yourself of good sleep, food and water.

Sometimes, it is the minor things that matter the most. Remember the little cut on your dog’s finger that caused the tetanus infection. Yeah, just a little cut.

Love, Mum.

Just a Little More…

1. The importance of health is often realized when it becomes missing. We often take it for granted that we are healthy.  This isn’t right especially when it doesn’t take much to just be a little mindful of our health.

2. What worked for A may not work for B. Or even if it works, may not be right. Yes, listen to advice but let your doctor be specific for you.
