Dear Cozy,
If life gives you lemons, ask for salt and vinegar.
I wasn’t looking for your father when he found me. We were both stumbling out of dark places in our lives. Meeting new people at that point was not a priority .
Your father is a wise man. He wasn’t going to just dive in to cool his skin neither was he going to miss out on showing how much of a gentleman he is.
We both danced around the issue for a while. He wanted me to dance more towards the centre and I think I did.
When we both finally decided to make it real, we knew we were doing the right thing.
We had our doubts, definitely. We had the negative experiences of the past to shake our confidence. We had hurdles to deal with and still have.
But what was important was we had God. And we had each other.
Love, Mum.
Just a Little More…
1. I won’t want to talk about the existence  or not of ‘love at first sight’. But, I know about love creeping up on you and you waking up one day to realize that someone had become an integral part of you. It’s beautiful. A bit scary too, especially if you’re in that stage where you thought staying single was the safest bet.
2. Doubts never really totally disappear in relationships. You never know it all till you’re married and till death do you part. It’s a daily discovery channel. However, there are some doubts that do need to be cleared if the ship would sail at all.
