Dear Cozy,
If life gives you lemons, ask for salt and vinegar.
I lived the last four years of my university life without a laptop. Any student in a tertiary institution needs a laptop. How much more a medical student? And how much much more a medical student in those concluding years?
Few times, I had to borrow my roommate’s or friends’ laptops but most of the time, I had just my phone.
My parents were definitely aware of my situation but their bank accounts chose to ignore.
I could have bewailed my fate and used it as an excuse not to do many things. I did not.
I typed projects, essays, blog articles, anything typable, reports with my phone.
Knowledge is power. I discovered how a simple android phone could do wonders.
When life hurls lemons at you, stay calm, take salt and vinegar.
Love, Mum.
Just a Little More…
1. We are our own handicap. Chain yourself down in your mind and be sure to feel your legs heavy whenever you’re trying to get things done. Simple.
2. Sometimes, we don’t know what we are capable of till we are faced with limited options. In the midst of abundance, you may just not know that tomato paste is very amazing and concoction rice is just a stir away.
