Dear Cozy,
If life gives you lemons, ask for salt and vinegar.
Being single sucks! I mean, how can I have so much to share, funny pictures and videos, complains about Nigeria and her problems and have no one to share them with? How can’t I have someone to wish me good morning? To ask how my night was? Someone I can purr my answers to? So. Not. Fair.
To make things worse, everybody’s in a relationship. Yes, I know that is exaggerating things but that’s how it feels when you’ve been at the sea port for close to 7 years and not seen the inside of a (relation) ship.
On the other hand, Cozy, being single is bliss! Do you know how much trouble you avoid that way?
You don’t have to explain yourself to anyone. You get to plan your day, your life, to suit yourself. Don’t tell me it sounds selfish, I know it is selfish.
It was in my single years I figured out how I wanted my life to be. I was clear headed enough to draw up a plan to be independent and most importantly, be happy and at peace.
You see, not everyone will get married. Not everyone will have a relationship but everyone will be single at some point in their life. Make it count.
Love, Mum.
Just a little more…
1. How long have you been single? What have you used all that time to do? How long have you been in a relationship? Oh, you’re not? Get productive… And I don’t mean pregnant.
2. If you’re in a relationship, don’t make others feel like they have the plague. Cherish what you have and remember to still work on yourself. Many people come out of relationships and find out they’re outdated. And not married.
